The Ministry of Information and public awareness of the Jubbaland State of Somalia and GIZ have today awarded prizes to three students of Badar School in Kismayo who took part in a fish art competition.
The award-winning students have recently won a fishing art competition conducted for Kismayo school students implemented by the Jubbaland Ministry of Information and Public Awareness.
The principal of Badar School, Ibrahim Abdullahi Guhaad, thanked the Jubbaland Ministry of Information and Public Awareness and the GIZ for leading the fish art project which helped shape the artistic abilities and skills of so many students.
The Director General of the Jubbaland state Information and Public Awarenes ministry, Abdi Shukri, said that the Information and Public Awarenes ministry is happy to fete the students who have won the art work and lauded the students from Badar school for being among the best performed school in the competition.
The fish art competition for school students in Kismayo is part of a Fish for Nutrition (FNP) program with a focus on fish consumption within schools in Kismayo .
The FNP project themed “Eat Fish,its healthy ” was implemented by the Jubbaland Ministry of Information and Public Awareness and funded by GIZ.
