Puntland Minister for Finance Hassan Shire Abgalow said foreigners who refuse to pay taxes on their salaries will be prosecuted.
The Finance Minister said there is a tax collection system in place but there are individuals who deliberately refuse to pay taxes on their businesses and salaries particularly the foreigners working in Puntland regional state.
He added that there is a tax collection is in place and anyone who refuses to pay their tax dues will be found guilty and subsequently prosecuted.
The Puntland Finance Minister also said that taxes are being collected from businesses, houses, vehicles and foreign workers and that they want to implement this in all areas of Puntland state.
Puntland authorities have repeatedly issued warnings to foreign workers in areas under their control who refuse to pay taxes on their salaries.
