The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has strongly condemned a report by the African Union (AU) on an independent assessment of the situation in the country.
The report said that government forces are not ready to take over the security of AMISOM due to non-compliance with the security agreement, and that Somalia is on the verge of war and political instability.
A brief statement from the Somali government, discussed at a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office stated that the Somali government had initially rejected the report.
The Somali government is expected to issue a statement on the report, dismissing it as a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.
