The committee appointed by the Somali Prime Minister Mohammed Hussein Roble for the Gedo region’s both houses elections in Garbahaareey has reached a solution to the outstanding poll issues.
The committee held meetings with the people of Gedo region and listened to their suggestions, and finally received the names of the people who were proposed to be appointed as Garbaharey district administration.
HirShabelle Interior Minister Mohamed Ali Adle, who is the chairman of the Gedo Reconciliation Commission, thanked the people of Gedo region for their contribution to reaching a comprehensive agreement on the Gedo elections.
The committee will travel to Kismayo, and will hand over the names of the people selected by the people of Gedo to be appointed as Garbaharey district commissioner and deputy commissioner to the President of Jubbaland state Ahmed Mohammed Islam after which the president will issue a decree appointing them.
