The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has today congratulated the people of Somalia on the 61st anniversary of the country’s independence.
“I congratulate and wish well the Somali people wherever they are on this occasion of the 61st anniversary on our country’s independence after the signing of our Freedom of southern regions of our country, the Union of South and North, and the birth of our nation”, Said Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
He added, “We pay tribute to, praise, and pray for the Fathers who fought for and brought about the freedom we enjoy who have achieved this through unity, togetherness, brotherhood and love”.
Premier Mohamed Hussein Roble said that 61 years later, the Somali nation has a great need for unity and solidarity as the only way to achieve the development it aims for, and compete with other countries and people around it.
“We all have a duty to this nation that our forefathers left in our hands. We need unity and solidarity for us to move forward to compete with others. Congratulations Again. Long live Somalia.” Prime Minister Roble said.
