The European Union must renew the contract signed with Turkish immigration in 2016, the EU Commission President Ursula von der said Tuesday before the EU summit to discuss the renewal of the contract.

In March 2016, the European Union and Turkey have reached an agreement to stop the migration refugees and migrants and improve conditions for more than 3 million Syrian refugees in Turkey.

The agreement succeeded in stopping the influx of migrants and refugees, but the EU’s refusal to take refugees from Turkey, and the bureaucracy’s restrictions on the transfer of promised funds to refugees led to strong criticism from Turkish politicians.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has criticized the European Union (EU) for failing to deliver on its promise to provide financial assistance to migrants and refugees in Turkey as part of a multi-billion euro bailout deal.
