The Somali national football team, which recently sacked its coach from Morocco, and the Oman national football team will play a tough match at the Jasim Bin Hamid football stadium tonight.
Of particular interest is the fact that the teams will be playing in the stadiums set up for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Somali national football team includes most of the players selected by the Somali Football Federation from European countries although some of them have been returned from the Somali domestic league.
The Somali Football Federation (SFF) has fired Somali national team coach Abdellatif Salef of Morocco after he allegedly used ‘insulting’ words against the players who were training in the Republic of Djibouti.
A statement from the Somali Football Federation (SFF) said that Salef, a Belgian national, was sacked three weeks after he took over as the coach of the Somali national football team which is preparing for the Arab Games against Oman tonight.
