The fisrt Vice President of Jubbaland state Mohamud Sayid Adan has today presided over the Jubbaland monthly security meeting to discuss security matters in the state.
The meeting was attended by members of the Council of Ministers as part of the Security Council, various Jubbaland Army officers, members of the Armed Forces and members of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
The meeting focused on strengthening the fight against terror group Al-Shabaab, liberating the Middle Jubba region and other areas under the control of the Jubbaland government and preparing for the security of the national elections in the country.
The monthly security meeting also strongly condemned the shelling that took place in Ceelade area and areas under the control of Elwaq district, which affected the people living in the area and their property, and called on the central government to take action.
