Somalia’s ambassador to Qatar has on Monday held a meeting with officials of the Somali National Army specialized recruit officers in Doha, Qatar.
The cadet officers are being trained by the Qatar government. During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Qatar Abdirizack Farah Ali (dime) was accompanied by General Mahbub Hasan who is in charge of the recruits undergoing the training course in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The Ambassador said the officers have been undergoing specialized combat security training to bolster their capacity.
The trained officers will soon return to Somalia to take part in the fight against the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Shabaab terror militants.
