Somali Health Minister says the second round of Coronavirus vaccine to be shipped into the country soon

The Ministry of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia has said that plans are underway to introduce the second phase of the coronavirus Vaccine with the help of allied governments.

Somali Health Minister Fowsiyo Abikar Nur said that China, Turkey and some Arab countries are supporting Somalia with the vaccine.

She added that the first vaccine which is still in use in the country is in good condition and will last for three months.

She said since the first phase of the Coronavirus pandemic and until now, the country has registered a total of 11,398 cases while the number of death recorded as a result of the virus stands at 529 so far.
