Former Somali president and chairman of the Union for Peace and Development party Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who is still in Garowe, met with Puntland President Sacid Abdullahi Deni.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the political situation in the country and the upcoming elections.
The two officials also agreed to pay a lot of effort to see to it that an an election is conducted to achieve a solution which propels the country forward.
Former Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has repeatedly said that it is important to reach a lasting solution to the electoral crisis as there is little time left in the term of the Somali government officials.
