The President of the Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, spoke by telephone with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al-Thani and discussed a number of issues in relation with the two countries.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, the latest developments in Somalia as well as Qatari projects in Somalia.
Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo thanked all parties for their support to Somalia and hoped that it would continue as Somalia recovers from many crises.
The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al-Thani on his part stressed that they will redouble their support for Somalia and strengthen ties between the two countries.
The government of Qatar is one of the main donors to Somalia and is said to be a close ally of the government led by President Mohamed Farmajo and their relations have been good for the past three and a half years.
