Galmudug state President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor Qoor met with former JFS president and leader of the Union for Peace and Development Prof. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Mogadishu.
At the meeting, they discussed issues related to the 2020-2021 election process with Hassan Sheikh speaking out against the Electoral Commission’s submission and criticizing the inclusion of NISA members.
The meeting which took place at the HSM residence in Mogadishu focused on the management of the transition so that the electoral process is inclusive and equitable.
Galmudug’s leadership is at the heart of the electoral process which is broader in terms of public participation and constituency than in 2016 when elections for both Houses of Parliament took place in some towns in Galmudug.
