The New York Times reports that U.S President Donald Trump paid only $ 750 in income tax in 2016 when he ran for office.
The newspaper said it had received data and records of taxes paid by Mr Trump and his companies in the last 20 years which showed that income taxes had not been paid in 10 of those fifteen years.
A report in the New York Times reveals that President Trump has been absent from paying taxes for years.
President Trump has repeatedly faced legal challenges after refusing to share documents related to the entire estate and assets with the relevant authorities.
