The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu Mr. Omar Mahmoud Mohamed (Omar Filish) chaired the weekly Banadir District Conference.
This week’s conference focused on security issues, sanitation and violence in Mogadishu including rape.
Banadir regional administration spokesman Salah Omar Hassan said the Banadir regional administration will launch an operation against narcotics.
He said drug users were taking part in insecurity acts in Mogadishu and rapes in recent weeks.
