The president of Jubbaland state of Somalia Ahmed Mohamed Islam has few moments ago arrived in Garowe, the capital of Nugal region, where he was warmly welcomed.
The Jubbaland President’s delegation was welcomed at Garowe International Airport by the President of Puntland state and members of his Cabinet.
The delegation accompanying the Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam includes Jubbaland Presidential affairs Minister Hirsi Jama Gani, Minister for Interior Mohamed Warsame Darwish, Jubbaland Minister for Constitution and Federal Affairs as well as lawmakers Abdirashid Mohamed Hidig and Abdinasir Serar Maax.
A source privy to the delegation said that the Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam and his Puntland counterpart Saciid Abdullahi Deni are expected to hold a special closed-door meeting on the current political issues in the country especially the country’s much-hyped and politicized elections.
