Reports from the town of Baled Hawo in Gedo region indicate that a powerful explosion took place in the town this afternoon, injuring many people.
Residents told the media that the blast took place in a crowded area of the livestock market.
Witnesses said they saw the bodies of several people at the scene of the blast. The market place is said to be selling livestock as well as khat.
The market is located in the Eighth neighborhood near the Bulo Hawo district hospital.
