The Mayor of Kismayo, Omar Abdullahi Mohamed, attended the inauguration ceremony of Hormuud Road, constructed by Hormuud Telecommunications Company.
Previously, this area was prone to waterlogging during the rainy season. The newly constructed road is now beautifully designed and is expected to play a significant role in enhancing the city’s aesthetics and facilitating smoother movement for the Jubbaland community.
During the ceremony, Mayor Omar Abdullahi Mohamed highlighted the importance of such infrastructure projects in improving the quality of life for residents. He praised Hormuud Telecommunications for their contribution to the city’s development and urged other companies to follow suit in supporting community initiatives.
The new road is anticipated to not only improve the visual appeal of Kismayo but also to ease transportation and connectivity within the town benefiting both residents and businesses.
