The Somali Disaster Management Agency has issued a notice regarding the impending spring rains that are expected to commence in the country in the near future.
The agency urges the Somali population to exercise caution and attentiveness, particularly those residing in the regions that have previously experienced flooding, as well as those residing in the vicinity of drainage systems.
According to our agreed forecast, the much-awaited spring rains of 2024 will commence in most parts of the country from the first week of April. These rains will gradually intensify from the third to fourth week of April and continue throughout the month of May.
The southern and northern regions are expected to receive the most rainfall this year.
