The Deputy Minister of the Jubbaland Ministry of Internal Security, Aden Ahmed Haji has today received Bebe Familiar, a UNPOL consultant in his office.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Internal Security of the Jubbaland State, the Commander of the Police Force of the Lower Jubba Region, the Advisor of the Ministry of Security, and some officers of the Jubbaland State Police Force.
In the meeting, the minister and UNSOM/JNPOL adviser discussed the acceleration of projects to promote the police force as well as training and improving the knowledge and capacity of the Jubbaland police force.
The mission of UN Police is to enhance international peace and security by supporting Member-States in conflict, post-conflict and other crisis situations. Its goal is to realize effective, efficient, representative, responsive and accountable police services that serve and protect the population.
On his part, the Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude for the Beby Familiar’s visit, praising the good relations and work of the UNPOL with the Jubbaland police force.
