A boat carrying ten people said to be missing shortly after it left Berbera Port for Yemen

At least eleven people who boarded a boat that left the port of Berbera heading to Yemen are said to be missing.

The missing men, ten Yemenis and a Somali man took more than 300 cattle and 1,400 animals from the port of Berbera on their way to Yemen.

According to representatives of the boat in Berbera said a sea storm is likely to have caused the boat to sink and thus disappearing in the sea waters.

A crew led by its captain who took a rescue boat said that their official whereabouts are still unknown.

An emergency search for the crew of the boat is said to have been carried out 50 miles away from the port of Berbera.
