A delegation led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia has arrived in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, where they were warmly welcomed.
The Somali Minister’s delegation will attend the 157th round of Arab League Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Cairo, Egypt.
During the Conference, the Permanent Delegates will discuss the draft agenda of the Ministerial Conference, which consists of 11 items on a wide range of issues including political, economic, social, security, finance and governance and will also hear the Secretary-General’s Report between the last two sessions.
Somali Foreign Minister Abdi Said Muse is expected to address the conference on the situation in Somalia, challenges and a report on the progress of Somalia’s elections.
The minister will also hold various talks with the participating foreign ministers to discuss the general situation in Somalia.
Every year, Somalia attends the Arab League Foreign Ministers’ Summit and provides information on the situation in Somalia and its needs.
