FGS Finance Minister Abdirahman Duale Beyle said the Somali government plans to increase the salaries and remuneration of the national army in the near future.

Minister Bayle made the remarks while attending a ceremony to reward police officers who have served in the recent elections in Mogadishu.

“We are working on some plans to increase remuneration in addition to what you are taking, increasing your diet, changing your allowances and increasing your salary if God gives us something,” Beyle said.

He also called on the police and security officers to intensify their efforts and strengthen their responsibility for the security of the country.

Meanwhile, the Somali Police Force Commander General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar said at the event that the Somali Police Force is providing good security at the polling stations in the country.
