Ethiopian Air Force fighter jets have today early morning bombed a refugee camp in northern Ethiopia, particularly in the Tigray region.

United Nations aid workers say Ethiopian airstrikes in northwestern Tigray have killed 56 civilians.

Aid workers say a strike has taken place in the refugee camp in the northeastern town of Dedebit in the Tigray region near the border with Eritrea.

Aid workers have sent Reuters photographs of victims of the bombing in hospitals with pictures of young children.

The Ethiopian government has not yet commented on the alleged airstrikes on civilians in a refugee camp in northern Ethiopia.
