Delay in national Electoral consultative forum meeting convened by Prime Minister Roble

A delay is to be witnessed in the National Electoral Consultative Conference, which was expected to open on the 27th of this month in Mogadishu, recently announced by Somalia Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.

The postponement of the conference is said to be due to Puntland state President Sacid Abdullahi Deni’s request for a week to resolve the crisis in Bossaso, Bari region.
The meeting of the National Electoral Consultative Assembly convened by the Somali Prime Minister was expected to focus on accelerating the poll process, streamlining and succesfuliy completing the country’s elections.

The delay in the National Consultative Assembly meeting comes at a time when outgoing President Mohamed Farmajo has said Prime Minister Roble has failed in his mandate to oversee the Somali polls.
