The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has donated food and other items to families living near the Halane camp in Mogadishu.
The items, which include blankets, buckets, jerry cans, mosquito nets, rice, sugar, and cooking oil and other items, were handed over to the families by AMISOM Humanitarian Liaison Officer and Civilian Cooperative, Abdul Diabagate and AMISOM Military.
Abdul Diabagate said the donation was intended to alleviate the immediate needs of families in the camps.
“On behalf of AMISOM, I look forward to protecting and working together to ensure that we all work hard to bring peace to Somalia,” Diabagate said.
