The Somali Ministry of Health has received a 500,000 packet of Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese government.
According to the Chinese ambassador to Somalia, the Chinese donation will help prevent the spread of a new type of corona virus, the Omicron.
The ministry said the donation was part of the health ministry’s ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
Other countries that have received the Chinese vaccines include Djibouti, which has received the same amount of Chinese vaccines as Somalia.
