A contingent of Jubbaland security forces backed by Danab commandos have successfully carried out a tactical and planned security operations against the Al-Shabaab terror group in areas west of the Lower Jubba region.
The tactical security operation was carried out in Labikus, Quds, Yaaq Dabeyl, Dharkenley and several other areas in the western part of Lower Jubba region.
The intensive security operation was jointly carried out by the Jubbaland Darwiish and Security Forces along with the 5th Danab Battalion.
During the operation, the troops destroyed areas occupied by the Al-Shabaab terror group and the insurgent’s courthouse, inflicting heavy casualties and dealing a blow to the Al- Shabaab terror militants.
The troops distributed food aid to the people living in the areas the operation was carried out.
The terror-stricken villagers said they were happy with the security force’s victory over the insurgents and called for such security operations to degrade the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab terror group.
