Somalia to take part in the 47th session of the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo, Egypt

Somali Minister for Labor and Social Affairs, Abdiwahab Ugas Hussein Ugas Khalif is attending the 47th session of the Arab Labor Conference, which opens in Cairo, Egypt today.

The Arab League Ministerial Conference to be inaugurated by the Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, will focus on finding solutions to the unemployment faced by Arab League citizens, job opportunities, human resource development and the impact of Corona Virus.

The Minister for Labor and Social Affairs, Abdiwahab Ugas Hussein, described the conference as opening a new door for the Somali Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to work closely with its Arab League counterparts.

“This annual conference will give us the opportunity to be part of our job search and human resource development efforts.” Said Minister Abdiwahab.

He added that his speech at the conference will focus on these issues and much more.

The minister for Labor and Social Affairs has also praised the role of the Somali embassy in Egypt and will hold talks with his Arab counterparts and Arab League officials today.
