The Jubbaland parliament, which convened in its third and fifth sessions today, approved the new Jubbaland cabinet recently appointed by Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam.
Today’s meeting was attended by 51 MPs in which 50 MPs agreed and one MP abstained and no one objected.
The Jubbaland state president announced the new cabinet on May 20, comprising 23 ministers, 22 deputy ministers and five state ministers.
In the coming days, new ministers are expected to be sworn in to take over the ministerial post.
