Reports indicate that the Somali government has asked the African Union to replace its newly appointed envoy to mediate between the warring factions on poll matters.
Sources say the envoy, a former president of Ghana, has accused the Somali government of being biased and of not appointing him through diplomatic channels.
The Somali government has also said that the newly appointed African Union envoy cannot be neutral in Somalia, as he has business interests in Kenya.
