The caretaker Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble is expected to meet with the Presidents of Puntland and Jubbaland regional states in Mogadishu this week.

The meeting, which will take place on Thursday comes after representatives of the international community, particularly the United States, the United Nations and the United Kingdom has pressured the leaders of Jubbaland and Puntland regional states to meet with the Prime Minister of the Federal government of Somalia.

The meeting is part of a series of discussions ahead of the general conference talks by all Somali political leaders which was insisted by the international partners and that no one will leave Mogadishu until an election agreement is reached.

Representatives of the international community have previously met with the caretaker Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and discussed solutions geared towards breaking the stalemate on the Somali election quagmire.

In recent days, special meetings have been held in the Somali capital, Mogadishu between regional state leaders and members of the Candidates Union to hold inclusive elections.
