The outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Presidents of Galmudug, Hir-Shabelle & South West and the Governor of Banadir region met last night at Villa Somalia.
Reports indicate that the leaders discussed the political situation in the country and ways to find a lasting solution to the disputed Somali poll.
The Presidents of Galmudug, Hir-Shabelle & South West regional states of Somalia are said to have briefed the outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo about the outcome of their previous meeting with the Presidents of Jubbaland and Puntland during a two-day special meeting which happened recently.
The regional state leaders are also said to have discussed the issue of the extension of office term for the outgoing Somali president by the House of People lawmakers which many see it as wrong move which could throw the country into a state of chaos and confusion.
