Somali Prime Minister Roble calls for unified approach in the fight against Al-Shabaab

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has condemned the attack on the Afrik Hotel in Mogadishu, located between the KM4 junction and the road to Aden Adde International Airport.

“I condemn in the strongest terms possible this heinous act. I pray to God to shower His mercy on the dead and to heal the wounded as soon as possible,” Said Roble

He further added that “I extend my condolences to the families and the people of Somalia in general for the loss of lives in the terrorist attack on the Africa Hotel in Mogadishu, including General Mohamed Nur Galal, who has served the country and its people for a long time”.

He said the Somali people will remember General Galaal for his role in the defense of the country during his more than 50 years as one of the key officers of the CXD.

The Somali premier called for concerted and united efforts in the fight against the ruthless terror group Al- Shabaab who he said were out to kill every day and becoming a stumbling blocks to peace and development in the coutry.

Somalia’s al-Shabab armed group is said to have launched a car bomb attack on a hotel in the capital, Mogadishu, killing at least three people, according to a security source.
