Jubbaland Security Minister Abdirashid Hassan Nur Janan addressed hundreds of soldiers on the outskirts of Beledhawo district, calling on Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and the NISA commander to refrain from interfering in the Gedo region.

He said that in the past few days, the Somali government has deployed drones to districts in Gedo region claiming to be fighting against Kenya but the aim is to suppress the people of Gedo.

Minister Janan said that President Farmajo would take responsibility for any problems caused by the troops adding that he would not shy away from having a confrontation with President Farmajo.

Finally, he called on Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo to resign and to take the advice of the Somali community so that the country does not collapse.

“President Farmajo is my cousin and I advise him to resign and leave the country and take the advice of the candidates to take over the country. It’s a wise advice that Farmajo should hid,” Said Abdirishid Janan.
