The regional governments of Puntland and Jubbaland have opposed the outcome of the Dhusamareb 3 conference which concluded yesterday in Dhusamareeb, the capital of Galmudug regional state of Somalia.
In a joint statement issued by the two regional administrations, the two leaders said that the issues raised at the conference were only limited to the leaders who attended the conference and not themselves.
“The governments of Puntland and Jubbaland declare that they are not part of and are not represented at the Dhusamareb conference.” Reads part of the joint statement.
The Presidents of Puntland and Jubbaland regional states issued the joint statement after a telephone conference yesterday, focusing on the political situation in the country particularly the upcoming elections in Somalia.
